NOI starts issuing unique numbers on sick sheets

The National Insurance Institute (NOI) announces that with the launch of the Electronic register of sick leaves from January 1, 2015, in which the data will now be submitted electronically, sick leaves issued after December 31, 2014 on forms "Sick leave for temporary incapacity" , will be invalid.

In this regard, from December 1, 2014, medical institutions registered in the National Institute of Health and Medical Sciences can receive unique numbers of sick sheets from the relevant territorial divisions of the institute or online, through a web application accessible through the website.

Also, from December 1, 2014, doctors and medical institutions should register as users of the web services provided by the National Institute of Health. So they will be able to request and receive unique numbers sick sheets online, to submit data, as well as to test the submission of data and the receipt of references from the electronic register of hospital sheets and the decisions on their appeal. Registration is done through a web application available through the institute's website. For this purpose, doctors, medical facilities and individual practices must have a valid certificate for a qualified electronic signature (KEP).

As of December 1, 2014, medical institutions that are not registered with the National Institute of Health and Welfare must submit application form (together with the registration of the medical facility) to obtain unique numbers of sick sheets in the territorial division of the National Institute of Health at its headquarters.
For issue of sick sheets after January 1, 2015, it is mandatory to use a software product distributed free of charge by NSI or another software product that meets the functional requirements published on the institute's website. They are intended for the developers of software used by medical examination bodies and medical institutions and should be taken into account by them when implementing functionality for issuing sick sheets and decisions of the medical advisory commissions (MPCs) on their appeal.
Obtaining unique numbers of hospital sheets and providing them to doctors and medical staff is the duty of the heads of medical facilities (Article 56, Paragraph 2 of the NME). They are also responsible for submitting the data in the electronic register of sick sheets.

Physicians and LCCs are responsible for entering and storing data when issuing/cancelling sick sheets and for the presentation of the data from the issued/cancelled sick sheets.
Detailed information on the necessary actions to be taken in connection with the launch of the The electronic register of sick sheets can be found in the published on the site electronic brochure.
