TAXATION IN BULGARIA

In Bulgaria the tax year coincides with the calendar year. The tax system is consistent with that of the European Economic Community. Applicable taxes levy the profits and income of participants in economic turnover /direct taxes/, taxes imposed on the consumption /indirect taxes/ as the main sources of revenue in the central budget and local taxes and income multipliers in regional budgets.
